Welcome to the Nurse Apprentice Program (NAP) American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grant facility enrollment page. If you have an existing Nurse Apprentice Program follow the steps below to enroll, if you would like to setup a Nursing Apprentice Program, contact us for help.
1.) Funding available for the nurse apprentice hourly wages and differential payment for hourly rate of the supervising registered nurse managing a nurse apprentice.
2.) Funding available for a retention or sign-on bonus upon graduation and licensure of the Nurse Apprentice to Registered Nurse with proof of employment agreement from the facility. Note: nurse apprentices are W-2 employees of each facility.
3.) Funding available to the Nurse Apprentice residing over 50 miles from the employing facility. This funding will reimburse at the GSA rates for food per diem, mileage, and lodging if needed (with lodging receipt required).
All reimbursement requests are due by the 10th of each month for the prior month.
Payments will be processed each month end.
An authorized signer for the facility must electronically sign the participation agreement. Nevada Rural Hospital Partners president will review and countersign the participation agreement. You will receive a signed copy for your records. Information to contact your fiscal/finance staff member will be required to setup EFT payments. Upon counter signature, an email will be sent to the fiscal/finance contact with a link to submit the EFT information or *** complete the EFT form HERE ***
Only approved facilities are eligible, if your facility is not listed please use our contact form and we will follow up with you.
Each month, your facility must submit a payment request form. You will be asked to upload your Nurse Apprentice’s timesheet. Please note that this form must be submitted each month for each nurse apprentice. Requests are due by the 10th of each month for the hours worked in the prior month. Payments for nurse apprentice and supervising nurse salary will be deposited via EFT
Additional grant funding may be available directly to the Nurse Apprentice if the travel distance is over 50 miles one way from home to hospital. This funding will reimburse at the GSA rates for food per diem, mileage, and lodging if needed (with lodging receipt required). This reimbursement will be made via EFT so banking information is required.
If your facility has offered a retention bonus to a former nurse apprentice who is now licensed as a nurse, you can request a retention payment of up to $4,000 here. Proof of licensure, a copy of the signed agreement between the facility and nurse, with a copy of the check showing the bonus was paid is required.
